Sláinte (SLAHN-cha) is a Gaelic drinking toast, literally translated as “health”, commonly used across Ireland and Scotland. Below that it says “a hundred thousand welcomes”, which is truly how I felt in every city I went to in the Emerald Isle! I completely fell for the landscape and the people of this magical place. And so loved this little detail outside someone’s door in Cobh.
